Our professionals are committed to providing patients with individual attention. All of our employees are trained to understand the most recent advances in aesthetic surgery, and have been hired for their efficiency, caring nature, and warmth. You will meet many of our staff both before and after surgery.

Diane DeVarennes - Patient Coordinator and Scheduler

Our Patient Coordinator is the primary point of contact, from consultation to surgery and beyond. She is expertly trained to provide information about fees, scheduling, and post-operative experiences. The Patient Coordinator will work with you both before and after surgery, and be at your service for questions or concerns.

A native of Salem, Massachusetts, Diane earned a BA in Theatre and Speech from the University of Kansas at Emporia. She has always been drawn to her family's profession of medicine and brings a willingness to understand and empathize with each patient as an individual. Diane has been with Dr. Wages from the time he has settled on the North Shore. She brings many years of experience as a surgical coordinator and scheduler. She believes that medicine is, more often than not, art melded with science.

A publisher photographer, she loves to read, shoot Little League baseball and travel. Diane is committed to making your experience with North Shore Plastic Surgery a caring, pleasant experience.

Ellen Cash - Nurse and Medical Assistant

Ellen is Dr. Wages’ knowledgeable and friendly nurse. Patients rave about her thoughtfulness and ability to serve their needs. She is a surgical nurse with over 14 years of experience and has focused herself to the care of plastic surgery patients for the past three years with Dr. Wages. You will meet Ellen during your pre-operative visit, and may decide to call her with questions after surgery. Ellen also sees post operative patients and removes stitches. In general, all telephone medical questions are directed to her. She is well able to answer any questions regarding your post operative condition or queries regarding other procedures offered in our office. Ellen loves to spend time with her grandchildren and to travel.

Stephanie Smith - Receptionist

Stephanie is the practice receptionist. She welcomes patients into the practice with a smile. She is usually the first person who you may contact regarding appointments and is a source for information regarding the procedures offered at North Shore Plastic Surgery. Her outgoing and pleasant personality will help make your visit an enjoyable one.

Joe Smith - Business Manager

Joe is and has been the practice manager since the inception and development of North Shore Plastic Surgery. Although Joe is usually behind the scenes involved with the business aspects of the practice, he is available to answer any questions regarding costs and billings of our services. He oversees our practice involvement in the Mentor Silicone Breast Implant study and registry. He has been an executive/Manager in health care for over 20 years. Joe has a Masters in Management. In his spare time he enjoys caring for and riding his horses.

Vickie MacLean - Medical Assistant

Vicki joined our practice in May 2008. She brings twenty years of experience and knowledge, first working as a Medical Assistant and then as a Clinical Manager. Vicki is compassionate, caring, and sensitive to patient needs. She assists the doctors in cosmetic and surgical procedures, suture removal, and dressing changes. She is available by phone for any questions or concerns regarding your care.

Vicki spends as much time as possible with her 2 children and 4 grandchildren. She loves to stay active-playing volleyball and softball. She is looking forward to exploring life with her new husband.
